I integrate MyFitnessPal with Garmin so I can see how many calories I eat and how many calories I burn through activities (walking, gym, cardio, etc.). You can also integrate MyFitnessPal with Apple Watch.
I think the combination of these 2 apps is amazing. The only thing you need to do is add what you eat in MyFitnessPal (they have the biggest database of foods; you can scan the barcodes, type in the recipe, or take a photo of your meal). Garmin does the rest (automatically tracks activities); it adds everything up and shows you whether you are in a caloric deficit or not.
I also find it very useful to see the macronutrient distribution in MyFitnessPal. I am always interested in the amount of protein I eat, I want to make sure I hit my daily target.
