Students Love Prodigy for Math

Our students LOVE Prodigy! It’s an educational role-playing wizard/witch game that teaches students math while collecting gems and battling. Students answer in-game questions that are aligned with the math and language curriculum standards. In our classes, we have kids—most of whom were self-proclaimed “Math Haters”—begging to play it!

Our tutors love using Kahoot, which is a quiz-based platform, in their sessions to help reinforce their students’ learning. It’s also a great tool to show high school students how to use it as a study tool. You can create your questions and answers, complete with diagrams, images, and videos, to make learning fun and memorable for yourself or a study partner.

The last educational game that I would recommend as an educator is Lexia Core5 and PowerUp. It is a literacy-based reading program that helps students of all levels accelerate their progress. Students’ programming is tailored to their levels, and they are asked questions in a variety of engaging ways. As an educator, I also have access to ready-made lessons to reinforce my students’ understanding of material they struggled with independently.

Duolingo ABC Excels in Language Learning

After extensive testing, I believe Duolingo ABC stands out as the top educational app for kids in 2024. It’s designed with adaptive learning algorithms that adjust to each child’s pace, making language acquisition fun and effortless. The gamification elements we’ve implemented, such as streaks and rewards, have resulted in a 92% daily active user rate among children aged 3-8.

Khan Academy Kids Offers Comprehensive Learning

As digital education continues to evolve in 2024, the search for the perfect educational game that makes learning fun for kids becomes increasingly important. Parents and educators are looking for tools that engage, educate, and entertain young learners.

Among the countless apps available, Khan Academy Kids emerges as the single best choice, offering a comprehensive learning experience that is both interactive and free. Through its gamified approach, adaptive learning features, and wide range of subjects, this app is perfectly aligned with Bullmight’s mission to empower parents and educators by making education fun and accessible.

Before exploring why Khan Academy Kids stands out, it’s important to understand the role of educational games in early childhood development. Children between the ages of 2 to 8 are in a critical period of brain development. It’s during these years that foundational cognitive, motor, and language skills are built, making the introduction of educational tools essential for long-term academic success.

Games with educational value can enhance learning by keeping children engaged through play while fostering essential skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and emotional development. In today’s digital age, where screen time is becoming more prevalent, turning this screen time into a productive learning experience is crucial. Apps like Khan Academy Kids offer an opportunity to make learning fun, encouraging children to explore, question, and grow intellectually while being entertained.

Kahoot! Kids Engages the Whole Family

I’ve spent some time looking into educational apps, and one that has stood out to me is Kahoot! Kids. This app seems like it does a good job of turning learning into an exciting game-show process. It covers really important subjects like math, science, reading, and geography. Kahoot! Kids was actually built to get the whole family involved, which I feel is an important element of these apps. You can set up quizzes or jump into the game with your kids, which can make it a lively, shared experience.

The visuals and sounds of the app are impressive, really grabbing the kids’ attention while helping them understand important concepts through fun activities.
