Despite Yelp being cozy, many people also have active feedback so it is not just for critics but even for commoners who just want to eat, go out, or have leisure time.
What I find most convenient for myself is the combination of the user feedback and the comprehensive description of the respective restaurant: the menu, the working hours, contacts, and so on. This feature helps avoid customers whose decision is based solely on why rating. Also, Yelp is very useful for sightseeing and excursions for people who haven’t been to the city: it has a booking system and it’s possible to search by cuisine, budget, city area, etc. From the point of view of a restaurant owner, Yelp also is suitable for restaurants because it allows interaction to take place with the customers either by reviewing and replying to them or updating any business information.
